📖 Daily Learning English Guide
Hello! This website is a ‘small study room’ created to help you study English in small chunks throughout your busy daily life.
💡 The Story Behind This Website
I am just an ordinary worker, just like you. At the age of 31, I decided to go on a working holiday to Canada, and that’s when I truly started my English journey. Before that, my English level was quite low — I scored a 7 in the Korean CSAT English section and my highest TOEIC score was only 605. I was a guy who couldn’t properly speak a single sentence in English. With just one year left before my flight, I had to balance my full-time job and my studies at Korea National Open University. I spent about one or two hours every single day, studying like crazy for that entire year.
Fast forward two and a half years, and I am now living in Canada, working a professional job — not just part-time work. As I continued my studies, many people around me asked how I managed to learn English. It became difficult to explain my journey individually to everyone, so I created this site to share the methods I used and to grow together with all of you, little by little, every day.
This is not a classroom where a teacher instructs you. I have no special certifications; I am just a fellow learner who spends my free time studying, just like you. Therefore, I want to make this place a space for all of us to encourage each other, saying, “Let’s study together again today!” with the goal of improving step by step, even if we aren’t perfect.
The site is still in its early stages, but I plan to add community features in the future. Until then, let’s keep studying hard together!
🚀 How to use this site
1. Daily Voca
- Five new words are introduced every day. The example sentences are updated as I continue to study them as well.
2. Diary
- This is where I share my own study progress. As a busy office worker, it’s hard to upload something every single day without fail, but you can follow my journey here to see that I am consistently working hard.
3. Resources
- A place where I introduce the books and materials I used for my studies.
🤝 Let’s grow together
- Consistency over Perfection: It’s okay to study just a little bit. Doing a little is much more important than doing nothing at all.
- Mutual Respect: We are all colleagues running at our own pace. When we eventually open the community section, please help build a warm, supportive, and encouraging culture.
A Small Wish: This site is not yet complete. If you have any suggestions or features you need while studying, please feel free to let me know. I want to build and fill this space with you, making it a better place little by little.
“You’ve worked hard today. Shall we study English together?”
